See B.A.A. Agreement
We have once again received an allotment of Boston Marathon invitational
entries
from the BAA, as we do each year, and plan to conduct our annual lottery
for those entries at the December meeting. Members who wish to enter the
lottery should send a check for $20, payable to GFRC, to Barry Ostrow, 6
Braeburn
Lane, Ashland, MA 01721 by December 1st. Although we refer to this as
Remember, volunteering increases your chance of getting a number!
The form should accompany your $20 check to Barry. Those entering the lottery
must read and agree to the BAA requirements listed on the form, which
include certifying that they able to complete the entire 26.2 mile course within
approx 4 hours, 30 minutes and also that a BAA number may not be transferred. Receiving an invitational entry through the GFRC gives the runner the opportunity to run for a charity with a much smaller solicitation minimum. The officers of the GFRC encourage invitational application recipients to take advantage of this and donations now available through the Give Back Program.
