Did we luck out with the weather! Predicted rain and high winds never happened, except for a slight drizzle when we were warming up. Temps in the low 40’s – perfect! Great photos – and one video – of some of us finishing by Bob Gargill right after he himself finished. And Ted Tyler was also at the finish line to get all of us he could see, and then labeled each one by name, age and pace. Inside, Gerard Lowry very generously passed out good quality brews to every one of us he saw. The firefighters at the back of the room handed out more good brew to anyone who had a non-glass glass. Lots of great pastries and fruit too. Tim Campion did a great job directing this and calling out bib numbers for a great raffle that went on and on. Awards were only one-deep as usual, but unusual turkey figurine ones. Did anyone else get surprised by the no-horn start? I was by my car getting something, and saw the crowd already surging ACROSS the start line and up the street! Got boxed in right away, but good thing the sidewalk was clear! Found around 80 members so far – just in the Turkey Classic alone. Four more did other races that day, so they also got Grand Prix points.
