There are maybe GFRC finishers that I didn’t notice on the first scan-through. Racewire doesn’t include town/city names (even though it does on the printout at the race), so that makes it harder to narrow down who’s a GFRC member.  Tell us at GrandPrix “at” gfrcrun.org if you were in this but not listed above.

Race Notes: Edw Ginsberg lives nearby and runs here often – but he didn’t use any shortcuts that we know of! Abby McCabe has been doing Wednesday Bowditch workouts whenever it’s open and getting in 7-milers on Sundays – but missed both with this past week’s weather. Susin Carlson did fine despite being in heavy marathon training. Esther Powell is on the comback trail and was 17 secs better here than on New Year’s Day. Mary Bahl started way back among the 10-minute crowd for some reason, then really turned it on, averaging 9:12’s. I was happily surprised when belatedly awarded my last year’s 3rd place Cancer Survivor’s trophy – complete with a generous Marathon Sports gift certificate. Katie (nee Sullivan) Scafidi is back racing with us again! (had been last seen at the Larry Olsen 10K) Ted & Mary Tyler had just gotten back from racing in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 65-degree race temps. Ted told Edw Ginsberg prerace, “I’m going to pass you in this!” But Edw never saw Ted pass at only 1/4 mile into the race. Sneaky! Karen Bilodeau was a minute faster than in her New Year’s 5K. Mike Carlson took some good group photos.
