Best WAVA% ‘s were John Joyce’s 73.56% and Abby McCabe’s 71.51%. Bob Cargill was close to 70 with 69.32%. Anita Yip had a fine PR (though was winded whole way), Joe Koziol and Tom Abbott resumed their duel over thiss course from 1993, when Joe’s 21:15 PR (pers rec) beat out Tom, whose 21:22 was a PW (pers worst). Susin Carlson had good sub-9:30’s going on until the 3rd Mile upgrade started kicking in. Amy Perarl was just 1:15 over the course record for her age; Joe Koziol is gradually coming back from a bad arm injury; Ted Tyler is definitely getting more fit, but Mary’s knees were really bothering her on this course. Abby McCabe has been doing the Bowditch workouts regularly and seems to be really helping her speed. John Joyce runs mostly trails we thing, without a watch – but is obviously doing something very right! Bob Cargill has made a nice return to the 5K speed demands from his Boston 26.2 just over a month ago.
